Rochdale PSPO

We’d like to remind residents about the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) currently in place across parts of Rochdale. The PSPO exists to help deal with behaviour that causes ongoing concern to the wider community, including antisocial behaviour, alcohol‑related issues, and actions that make people feel unsafe in public spaces.

Our focus is always on engagement and prevention first. We want to have conversations, offer advice, and work with individuals before enforcement is considered. However, where issues persist and impact others, we will use the PSPO powers to protect the community.
