 Neighbourhood Policing Update – Beaumont. 

You Said We Did. 

PCSO Kurtis has  been out on patrol  across the Beaumont ward. 

 Nuisance Vehicle:

He  revisited an area where he  had spoken to the occupants of a nuisance vehicle yesterday. Pleased to report the vehicle has now moved on following the advice we gave.

 Burglary Reassurance Visits:

He completed follow up visits with two homes that were unfortunately burgled yrecently . Both households were provided with burglary prevention packs, including leaflets and handy security gadgets, to help reduce the chances of any repeat incidents.

 Bennion Road Lighting Update:

Good news — the lighting issues on Bennion Road, especially near Beaumont Leys Station, are being dealt with by the council’s lighting team. They have identified the issue and are in the process of replacing around 700 metres of underground cables, they hope to have most of the lighting restored by the end of this month.

 Evening Patrols:

PCSO Telat has been  out on patrol around the Beaumont Shopping Centre and Heathley Park, as well as assisting with any anti‑social behaviour reports that have  come in.

Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre;

With the help and support of Special Constable 5191 Craig and PC 958 Jack from the Response team, Pc 2648 Baz and PC 727 Summer have patrolled the area and conducted Op Pedalfast.

Within a matter of 10 minutes on patrol within the Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre, 3 illegally used e-scooters were seized under S.165(RTA).

One person openly admitted to knowing it was illegal, one attempted to scoot off from us and one was less than a month old…

We have also seized a number of illegally modified E-bikes used by delivery drivers…
