Positive ActionBILINGUAL MESSAGE / NEGES DWYIEITHOG Hello Resident
Thank you for responding to our survey.
We have been working hard in Baglan targeting fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour involving vehicles in and around the area of Baglan Industrial Estate.
Recently officers have made targeted patrols in relation to vehicle meet ups and joint partnership patrols with council waste enforcement due to ongoing fly tipping. Several vehicles have been identified and one stopped searched over the December period found to be in possession of cannabis. Ongoing patrols have been made where vehicle drivers have been spoken to and warned over potential enforcement if offences are identified. Council patrols have resulted in positive action in regards to identifying sources of where waste tipped in the area had originated from and further patrols and partnership work will be utilised going forwards with this. Some work has also been carried out to cut back overgrowth to allow clear viewing and reduce potential hidden spots for vehicles and waste.
Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response? You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
