Prolific Shoplifter Charged

A prolific shoplifter targeting businesses in Roehampton has been charged following an investigation by the Roehampton Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Emanuel Sousa-Pimentel of No Fixed Abode was arrested on 02/01/2026 in North West London following a stop by local officers. Following his arrest, he was charged with 7 shopliftings and a burglary, all committed in Roehampton between July and September 2025 and remanded to appear before court. The shopliftings all occurred at the Asda Express Petrol Station totalling approximately £1850 over one month. He was identified during a routine visit to the shop by PC Quail who then linked him to 7 in total and an unrelated burglary on the Alton Estate.

Pimentel prolifically targeted many local businesses locally causing thousands of pounds of loss. As a result, proceedings for a Criminal Behaviour Order will also be commenced to deter him from offending in Roehampton again in the future.
