Arrest: Dog attack In Halliwell

A woman has been arrested following a dog attack on Halliwell Road.

On Monday (05/01/26), we received reports that two children had been bitten by a loose dog. They attended hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Today (09/01/26), officers have arrested a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.

The dog has been seized and taken to secure kennels for assessment. The woman remains in police custody for questioning.
