Drink and drug drive campaign 2025, the results.
A total of 21 arrests were made across the Lewes and Seahaven districts during our Christmas crackdown on drink and drug drivers which ran from December 1st to January 1st.

Witness appeal following assault in Lewes.
We are seeking to identify this man in relation to a reported assault that took place in Station Road, Lewes on 6 September at around 9pm.
It was reported that the victim, 21-year-old man, had dropped money on the floor that another man in the street picked up.
A verbal altercation ensued, and the man reportedly physically assaulted the victim who suffered injuries to his face.
Officers are conducting an ongoing investigation and following lines of enquiry, would like to speak to this man in relation to the incident.
We encourage anyone who recognises this man, who witnessed the incident or who has any relevant information such as CCTV or mobile footage to report it to us online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1394 of 06/09.

Police are investigating a report of a collision on the A259 at Ovingdean on 8 January.
Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle in Hamsey Road, Saltdean, at about 2.30pm.
The vehicle, a Royal Mail van, was traced by officers and drove away from officers in Peacehaven at about 3.05pm.
After a short pursuit, the van was involved in a collision with four other vehicles at about 3.10pm.
Fortunately no other drivers required hospital treatment.
The driver of the van, a 20-year-old man from Peacehaven, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was temporarily closed in both directions, and officers have thanked the public for their patience while this incident was responded to.
Witnesses or anyone with further information about the collision or the van driving who has not already come forward, including anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, can report it to Sussex Police online and quote serial 707 of 09/01.
