MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ATTACK IN CANNOCK |
||
|
A man has been jailed after a woman was pushed to the floor and robbed of her car in Cannock.
Cameron Worrallo, 21, of Walsall, was part of a group of people who followed the victim into Mill Green nature reserve on 24 May last year. The woman, in her 50s, was walking her dog when she was pushed to the ground and pinned to the floor. The group, who were all wearing balaclavas, told her that they wouldn’t hurt her dog but they wanted her car keys. They pinned her down and pried the keys from her hands forcefully before running off and taking the vehicle.
On the same day, the car was spotted in Walsall. No registration plates were on the car, prompting an officer from West Midlands Police to follow it.
Worrallo crashed the car into a bush on Pelsall Road in his attempts to escape. He got out and tried to run off but wasn’t quick enough.
