Incident Report – Attempted Theft of Motorcycle

Police have received a report of an attempted theft of a motorcycle in the Winyates area of Redditch. Officers are currently making enquiries and increasing patrols in the vicinity.

Security Advice to Help Prevent Motorcycle Theft:

Use a high-quality lock: Secure your motorcycle with a robust chain and padlock, ideally through the frame and a fixed object.

Install a disc lock or alarm: Visible deterrents and audible alarms can discourage thieves.

Park in well-lit areas: Whenever possible, choose locations with good visibility and CCTV coverage.

Consider a ground anchor: At home, use a ground anchor to secure your bike.

Cover your motorcycle: A cover can make your bike less noticeable and harder to target.

Trackers and immobilisers: Fitting a GPS tracker or immobiliser can help recover your bike if stolen.
