Theft of mopeds.

Following a recent increase in the number of Moped thefts across the city, particularly overnight. We are asking owners to be extra vigilant around how and where they lock up their bikes. 

Where possible always park where there is street or security lighting, consider installing cctv or a doorbell camera covering the area.

Use quality locks in addition to the steering  lock, consider a bike cover that can also be secured (such as a padlock through the rings at the base, or a long cable over the bike and cover, keeping the cover in place).
