Vehicles and tools recovered as part of operation to tackle theft |
||
|
Dear Resident, Over two days last week, the Neighbourhood Policing Team for Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire carried out a proactive operation focused on tackling the theft of motor vehicles across the area, including locations along the Guided Busway. The operation led to significant results, with officers recovering a number of stolen vehicles and items, including: A 16‑year‑old boy was arrested and later bailed in connection with offences involving e‑bikes and e‑scooters. In another incident, a member of the public contacted police after using a tracking device to locate their stolen Eskuta at an address in King’s Hedges. Officers attended the address, recovered stolen items, and returned the Eskuta to its owner. The operation also resulted in the arrest, charge, and remand of two individuals for drugs offences, following the seizure of £2,500 in cash, 234 wraps, and three mobile phones. These results highlight the impact of targeted neighbourhood policing and the importance of information from the public in helping police prevent and disrupt crime. Kind Regards, PC Peter Lloyd Cambridge City Neighbourhood Policing Team | ||
