Lock up light on We’ve noticed a small increase in burglaries of recent particularly in the Great Bridge area. We’re reminding residents to be vigilant, particularly as nights remain dark. Here are some reminders below you should follow to help keep burglaries down: Always lock all doors and windows when you go out, even if it's for a short time.If you have window locks and deadlocks, use them.Don't leave windows open when you go out.Consider installing CCTV cameras or doorbells.Use timer switches on lights and radios to give the impression of someone being at home if the house is empty for long periods.Fit a house alarm.Place keys out of view.Never leave a spare key concealed anywhere near the front door.When possible, try to keep valuables out of sight from windows.Don't open the door to anyone unless you can identify them.Use a UV marker pen to put your housed number and postcode onto your valuables like your, Television, Computers, And any other technology items.
