SNT officers completed operation Lockheed auto crime patrols several weeks ago, during which a white Jaguar XF failed to stop and drove dangerously around HGV’s on the A444 for our Force Proactive Team. 
The Jag resurfaced and again failed to stop for our LPU team reaching high speeds through Woodville and Hartshorne in poor weather conditions. 
PC’s Swindell, Holmes-Small, Williams and Boniface tracked the vehicle coming into South Derbyshire where PC Boniface and Williams located the vehicle which immediately failed to stop, driving dangerously through Gresley and Swadlincote before heading through Caldwell, Linton and Rosliston. 

Over the course of 7 miles, the driver has put the public at risk, reaching speeds of over 70mph in 30 limits. The pursuit was eventually been brought to a stop in Rosliston with the assistance from an HGV driver who helped officers block the vehicle with the driver being quickly removed from the vehicle. 

The driver was arrested for the following offences across the 3 incidents Fail to stop for police X3, Dangerous driving X3 and No insurance X3. Officers have seized the vehicle under section 165. 

Lucas Wright, 21 years of Mount Pleasant Road, Linton admitted all offences and was charged and remanded into prison. 

Wright has now been convicted at court and received 16 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 2 years, 12 months unpaid work to be carried out in the community, disqualified from driving for 2 years, Rehabilitation activity order and court costs.
