Essentials - 166 Uxbridge Road - CLOSED.

Dear all, 

We convinced the magistrates to grant a three month closure on Essentials, a convenience store, at 166 Uxbridge Road. 

This is one of the priorities set by the local ward panel of residents: targeting venues that we suspect of enabling the sale of contraband alcohol and thus causing drink and drug ASB on the Green. We worked with Trading Standards and Immigration to achieve this today. The shop had no licence and a sizeable quantity were M&S and Lidl branded products. This suggests that the shop was profiting from shoplifting.
