Burglary can happen at any time—and not just through the front or back door. Criminals often target first and second-floor windows and balconies, especially during darker winter months. Let’s work together to keep Hounslow safe.

🏠 How to Protect Your Home

Lock all entry points: Check doors, windows, and balcony doors—even upstairs.

Light it up: Use timer switches for lights to make your home look occupied.

Hide valuables: Keep jewellery, cash, and tech out of sight from windows.

Install security: CCTV and video doorbells are excellent deterrents and help police investigations.

👀 Why Reporting Matters

If you witness a burglary in progress, call 999 immediately.
If it’s after the fact, report it online or via 101—your information could prevent another crime.

Police will conduct enquiries in the area after a burglary. If you see us knocking on doors or receive a MetEngage notification about a burglary nearby, don’t ignore it or feel alarmed. We’re here to help and support you. If you saw or heard something unusual—or something didn’t feel right—tell us.

📷 Help Us Help You

If you have CCTV or doorbell footage, please save it and make it available to us. It can be vital in identifying suspects and recovering stolen property.
