Two boys have been arrested in Armitage after pub toilets were damaged.
On Friday (2 January), we were called to The Crown following reports that two boys had kicked the waste pipe off the toilet, causing a flood.
Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area and made two arrests yesterday (Monday 6 January). Two 13-year-old boys, both of Armitage, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. They have been bailed with conditions while our investigation continues.
Inspector Melissa Byrne, from the Lichfield local policing team, said: “We’ve been working closely with residents and business owners in Armitage following a number of recent reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in the area.
“We’re working hard to proactively tackle these concerns, including using anti-social behaviour legislation, carrying out targeted patrols and continuing to build evidence across a number of ongoing investigations.
“I can assure local residents and businesses that we are actively targeting those causing persistent issues in the local community and we encourage anyone who has experienced this type of behaviour to report it to us.” | ||
