Custom House Crime

Hello All

I wanted to make a habit of letting you know what street crime has been occurring in Custom House, so let me break down the what’s been happening in this first chilly week of 2026.

In the early hours of the New Year you may have seen or heard a commotion in Randolph Approach. This was a domestic argument at a Party that resulted in a women trying to run over her partner. She was arrested at the scene. 

There have been a handful of shopliftings at BP garage on Newham Way. The suspect has been seen to enter the store with large bags and blatantly clear the shelves of goods before walking out. We have recently arrested several people for scores of thefts at the garage and are looking forward to arresting this persistent thief too.  

Some crime prevention advice. - If you buy goods online from a stranger, do not part with your money until you have inspected the goods. One poor Custom House resident sent a chap money for a PS5 and was then blocked by him and has not heard from him since.

We’ve had no reports of Robberies, burglaries & phone snatches… Long may that last.

And that is 2026 so far in a nut-shell .
