Beckton Crime

Hello All

First week of 2026 has brought some crime to the Streets of Beckton; But not much. 

As previously mentioned, we had one robbery just after the chimes of midnight on New Years in Atlantis Avenue. The suspects are still outstanding but I do not believe they are living local. 

We had one cycle enabled bag snatch in Devalls Close. This is first snatch reported in four weeks in Beckton. The last one occurred on Tollgate Road near Ellen Wilkinson Primary on 9th December. If wearing a handbag, wear it across the body and under a coat if you can. And as always, try not to use your phone whilst walking along the street or at bus stops.

A car had its numberplates stolen in the ASDA carpark. Its not a common occurrence for ASDA. 

Anyone one that sees anything suspicious please alert security in the mall. Lets keep an eye out for each other when we can.

There was a residential fire in Evelyn Denington Road (front door on fire). CID are investigating. If you have information, I’m happy to put you in touch with the investigating officers.    

And an argument over a parking space got out of hand in Wakerley Close E6
