2026 for your local ward teams

Good evening all,

As we move in 2026 we are striving to continue improving the results and impact of your local safer neighbourhood policing team.

In 2025 we achieved some fantastic results across the area including; Closure of premises causing repeated anti-social behaviour, a number of drugs warrants resulting in arrests for drugs offences, the most significant drop in shoplifting offences across London, a reduction in neighbourhood related crime from the previous year.

This year we will have more local police officers for your wards, at the start of 2025 we had 4 officers covering the wards of Merton Park, Ravensbury and St Helier, by the end of this month we will be up to 7 as well as our 4 PCSO's. This will give us greater resilience and visibility. Whilst each ward has officers aligned to it, we work together in joint operations across the wards where required.

Keep an eye out for your local ward panel meetings, all will be shared via this platform giving plenty of notice for date, time and location. We encourage as many of you as possible to attned your local ward panel where you can have your say on local issues, hear from and speak to your local policing team.

As always, please inform us of any anti-social behaviour or intelligence that can assist us in our work into tackling and reducing crime, supporting victims and bringing offenders to justice.
