||
|
Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Broxbourne yesterday (Monday 5 January). The incident happened at around 8.50am on a layby on the A10 between Hertford and Broxbourne. Three vehicles were involved - a grey Porsche Cayenne, a red Fiat 500 and a white Volvo Tipper lorry. The Fiat and the Volvo were both stationary. The driver of the Fiat – a woman aged in her sixties - was out of the vehicle at the time of the collision. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she sadly died at the scene. The driver of the Porsche – a man aged in his sixties – was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been bailed while enquiries continue. DC Lewis Stanley, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the woman’s loved ones at this difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained officers. “We are working to establish how the collision occurred and I want to hear from anybody who saw what happened, or the vehicles involved. If you think you have information that could help, please get in touch. “I would also like to ask that anybody who was driving in the area around that time with a dashcam to please get in touch. Your footage could be important to our enquiries. “You can email me at Lewis.Stanley@herts.police.uk quoting ISR 110 of 5 January.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. In an emergency, always call 999. If you have dash cam footage in relation to the collision, please upload this at: herts.police.uk/dashcamupload | ||
