Dear Met Engage Team,
Please be advised of a planned community engagement event being delivered by Ilford Town Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team.
On Thursday 12 February at 11:00am, officers will be holding a “Cuppa with a Copper” and general safety talk at Al Bayan Welfare, Ilford. This engagement provides an informal and approachable opportunity for members of the local community to meet their local policing team in a relaxed environment.
The purpose of this session is to build trust and confidence, offer reassurance, and encourage open conversation between the community and local officers. During the event, officers will provide general safety and crime prevention advice, discuss local policing priorities, and offer guidance on personal safety and community wellbeing. Attendees will also be encouraged to raise any concerns, ask questions, or seek advice in relation to local issues affecting them.
The session will be delivered in a friendly and supportive manner and is intended to strengthen community relationships and promote partnership working. Where appropriate, officers will signpost attendees to relevant services or follow-up support.
This engagement forms part of Ilford Town Ward SNT’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, reassurance, and proactive problem solving.
This information is shared for awareness and reassurance. Please advise if any further details are required.
Kind regards, Majid Sethi PCSO – Ilford Town Ward Metropolitan Police Service
