Dear Met Engage Team, Please see below an update on recent neighbourhood policing activity carried out within Ilford Town Ward.
On the first day of the new school term, officers conducted high-visibility school patrols across the ward to provide reassurance to parents, pupils and school staff during peak drop-off. these patrols were aimed at ensuring pupils safety, addressing any road safety concerns, and maintaining a visible policing presence at key locations. Officers engaged with members of the public, school staff and pupils offering reassurance and addressing any concerns raised.
In Addition to this officers carried out a visit to CITI CAR PARK following ongoing concerns relation to anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the area. During the visit, officers conducted reassurance patrols, engaged with individuals present, and assessed the location for any environmental or safeguarding concerns. Advise was provided where appropriate, and observations were noted to support ongoing monitoring and future problem- solving activity.
These activities form a part of ILFORD TOWN WARD``S continued commitment to community engagement, early intervention, and maintaining a visible presence in areas identified through community feedback and intelligence. Further patrols and engagement will continue as required to address local concerns.
This update is provided for awareness and reassurance. Please advise if any further information is required.
Kind regards, Ilford Town Ward SNT. Metropolitan Police Service.
