Fraud scams |
||
|
There are many scams at the moment where fraudsters target the elderly. For example, they would call at the address and state that the person has been a ‘ victim of fraud ’ and they need their bank card and PIN. Another scam is when an elderly person is approached in a car park and the ‘ suspect ’ approaches them saying that their payment on the parking machine did not obtain their payment, the person then goes to the machine or cash machine with the elderly person and states they have to enter their PIN. The suspect then obtains the bank card and PIN. No genuine person will attend your home address to ask for your card details. When you are at an ATM and are approached by someone ‘ wanting to help you ’ be wary of them. | ||
