There has been two burglaries in your area.

WESTPOLE AVENUE EN4.

Suspects have smashed the ground floor window and conducted an untidy search.

COCKFOSTERS ROAD EN4

The ground floor window has been smashed and an untidy search was carried out by the suspects in the upstairs bedroom and under both bathroom sinks. Entry and exit points both seem to be through the broken window which has access to the rear garden.

We want to help keep our community safe and reduce the risk of burglary.

Here are some practical steps you can take:

1. Secure Doors and Windows

Always lock doors and windows when leaving your home, even for a short time.

Consider installing high-quality locks and security bolts.

2. Use Lighting Wisely

Leave a light on or use timer switches when you’re out to make your home look occupied.

Motion-sensor lights outside can deter intruders.

3. Protect Valuables

Keep valuables out of sight from windows.

Keep garden tools and ladders locked away to prevent them being used to gain entry.

4. Be Vigilant

Consider installing an alarm system or CCTV.

Report suspicious activity to the police immediately.
