Op Cubo East India Dock Road

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Dedicated ward Officers from Limehouse Polar and Lansbury Wards have worked collaboratively as part of Operation Cubo to tackle phone related theft and dangerous driving on East India Dock Road. This operation was run On Monday 29th December 2025 and 3rd January 2026.

Officers used powers under 163 of the road traffic act to carry out enquiries on Cars, Motorbikes and E bikes ensuring that they were insured and road worthy.

This operation led to;

24 Traffic related tickets issued for offences including No insurance and not driving in accordance with a licence

12 vehicles were seized

Limehouse Polar and Lansbury Ward officer will be carrying out more traffic stops under OP Cubo over the coming months, please look out for further updates
