Snow and Ice Warning

Snow and ice have arrived, which means it’s that time of year when we all forget how to walk and drive at the same time.

Please take extra care on the roads and pavements. If you don’t need to travel, staying home with a hot drink is a perfectly sensible policing-approved decision. If you do head out, slow down, leave plenty of space, and remember: if it takes longer to stop, you’re going too fast.

Pedestrians — icy pavements are not the place to test new shoes or personal balance records.

Look after yourselves, check in on vulnerable neighbours, and let’s all try to keep ourselves off our CCTV screens for the wrong reasons!
