Leigh Town Centre Update 
Today, our team encountered a female offender actively begging on Bradshawgate. Despite attempts to offer advice, she became aggressive toward officers.

A quick check revealed she was actually Wanted by Police for shoplifting and in breach of a Community Behaviour Order (CBO)—a legal measure designed to tackle persistent anti-social behaviour.

Shoplifting is NOT a victimless crime.
It impacts local businesses, employees, and customers. Losses lead to higher prices, job insecurity, and harm to our community.

When shoplifting is dismissed as “minor,” it creates a culture that normalizes crime. The consequences ripple through our local economy and sense of safety.
