Staying Safe on New Years Eve |
||
|
Good evening Residents on Lavender Ward,
Thank you for continuing to work with us, as your local policing team, towards Lavender being a safer area in which to live and to work.
Tonight in London there will be mostly clear skies, it will be quite chilly, so a cold New Year’s Eve evening for those out celebrating. The temperature will be just above freezing when Big Ben strikes midnight.
TfL services will be running throughout the night on New Year's Eve. Services in central London will be busy and some stations may be closed at short notice or at busy times to prevent overcrowding. Some bus services in central London will also be on diversion due to road closures. Allow more time for your journey.
Plan ahead. Check before you travel. Check travel advice.
New Year's Eve fireworks will be taking place this year. Tickets are required and if you do not have a ticket, you should not attend the event.
If you are out celebrating tonight please look after yourself and those you are with, and get home safely. There will be a Safe Space operating outside Starbucks, St John's Hill, near to Clapham Junction Train Station between the hours of 10pm and 3am this evening should you require any assistance.
We wish you a Happy New Year.
Kind regards, Lavender Safer Neighbourhoods Team | ||
