WARNING: Possible overtopping Eyemouth Coastal |

31 December 2025 SEPA has issued a warning that breach for wave and overtopping is possible tomorrow afternoon, 1 January 2026, at Eyemouth around the time of high tide. The wave height will exceed 1.5m peaking at 1.73m.
Care should be taken around Eyemouth in particular. Warning: Chance of breach and overtopping at high tide Date: Thursday 1 September 2026. Time: around 1300hrs
The wave direction is forecast to be northerly and winds westerly at this time with wind speeds of 25mph and gusts of 38mph.
Caution: For anyone taking part in a New Year’s dook or swim in the Coldingham area please be minded that there is the potential for large waves across all coastal areas.
Please take extra care and risk assess your activity based on the conditions.
