New Year Message |
||
|
As we welcome the New Year, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2025 and thank all Havering residents for their continued support over the past twelve months. Working together, we’ve made significant strides in keeping our borough safe.
Over the last year, your local Safer Neighbourhood Teams have worked tirelessly, day and night, to reduce crimes such as burglary, vehicle crime, and shoplifting. These reductions are a direct result of dedicated policing, strong community engagement, and the willingness of residents and businesses to share information and stand with us against those who cause harm within our communities. Your cooperation has made a measurable difference, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.
However, we also recognise that there is more work to do. Robbery remains a challenge, and we are focusing additional resources, visibility, and intelligence‑led operations to address this. Areas such as Romford Town Centre and Elm Park continue to require sustained attention, and we are already implementing strengthened patrol strategies, long‑term problem‑solving initiatives, and increased partnership work alongside Havering Council and other organisations to make these locations safer places to live, work, and visit.
As we move into the new year, our commitment to reducing crime and anti‑social behaviour remains strong. We will continue listening to your concerns, responding with purpose, and working collaboratively to tackle the issues that matter most to our residents and business owners.
On behalf of all Havering Safer Neighbourhood officers, I wish you and your families a safe and peaceful New Year. Thank you for your continued trust and support. | ||
