Dangers of Drink and Drug Driving: Arrest Following Positive Cannabis Test

Yesterday, local neighbourhood officers were conducting mobile patrols when they observed a vehicle displaying no insurance on Oldham Road. Upon engaging with the driver, he admitted to regularly consuming alcohol and using cannabis. Preliminary roadside tests were conducted, which returned a positive result for cannabis. The male was subsequently arrested, and a forensic blood sample was obtained in custody. Officers are now awaiting the results of the blood analysis.
