Walk, Talk & Do - Womens Safety Session : Sat 10 Jan 11:00

Dear Resident,

Belmont Policing Team will be holding a Walk, Talk & Do community engagement session on Saturday 10th January at 1100 hours.

The meeting point will be on Parnell Way junction with Weston Drive.

We are determined to tackle crime and make the streets safer for everyone. A key part of this commitment involves tackling violence against women & girls.

To do this we are taking into consideration factors that contribute to women & girls feeling unsafe, wherever they are.

The Home Office and National Police Chiefs Council have launched the StreetSafe tool to enable the public, particularly women & girls, to pinpoint areas on a map where they feel unsafe and say why.

This information will be used by policing in partnership with other stakeholders to deliver improved wellbeing and safety for communities, especially for women and girls.

The tool is available at www.police.uk/streetsafe The website is secure and completely anonymous.
