Vehicle Interference/Damage

Dear Resident

Between 28/12/2025 01:00 to 28/12/2025 14:36 a vehicle had interference which occurred in Lewes Way, Croxley Green.

The victim says that in the early hours of the morning there were two males outside of his property that had a bag and something connected to a wire, they could see one of the males waving it around in front of their property. The other male was sat inside the victim's vehicle. The victim says they must not have locked their vehicle last night, that is how the male's had gained access.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Remove your satnav and holder and wipe away suction marks which could indicate that a satnav is stored in your vehicle.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them lying around, visible or in pockets in changing rooms where they could be taken. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.

Secure number plates with anti-theft screws.
