OP CENTURION BURNLEY 23/12/2025

Today officers have been on patrol in Burnley Town Centre providing a high-visibilty presence in the area as part of Operation Centurion.

Op Centurion is aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour and provide reassurance to you, the community.

Whilst on patrol officers engaged with local stakeholders providing reassurance with their presence at this busy time of year. They also dealt with a male who had breached the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for drinking in town centre. As a result he has now been issued with a dispersal not to return to the Burnley Town Centre area for a 48hr period. 

Officers were pleased to see so many people out enjoying the festive period in a peaceful environment.

You will continue to see this high-visibility presence over the coming days to ensure that we can all enjoy the Christmas season.
