Staffordshire Police are warning residents and businesses about counterfeit £20 Bank of England notes being used locally. Sadly, some businesses have already fallen victim.

What to look out for:

Criminals add foil stickers to imitate the genuine holographic strip.

At first glance, they can look convincing – check carefully!

If you suspect a fake note, do not accept it.
