Crime Update 18th to 23rd December 2025 |
||
|
Dear Residents,
Here is your crime update for the 18th to the 23rd of December 2025.
There were two burglaries of homes on LODE LANE. In both offences, the offenders have entered the properties by smashing glass at the rear, conducting a search and leaving in an unknown direction. These offences occurred between 1100hrs on 17th December and 2100hrs on 18th December. If anybody has any information, please call 101 or report on WMP online, quoting crime number 20/480303/25 or 20/480136/25.
Good news! The LEOS team conducted a stop and search after officers noticed a car that had intelligence linking it to drugs. Cannabis was seized from the occupants. We have been conducting patrols with our streetwatch groups across Silhill, Lyndon and Elmdon. Thank you to all our volunteers.
As we get closer to Christmas day, please take a read of our crime prevention advice. A few steps to prevent burglary and car theft include: Keep your car keys in a signal-blocking pouch (also called a faraday pouch) and out of sight. This will reduce the signal emitted by car keys. Secure a steering lock to deter burglars taking your vehicle. Lock away all jewellery, gold, and designer goods in a secure safe or container if possible. Check your doors, windows, and porches are locked and secured and remove keys from doors. Make sure house alarms are set when the property is vacant, or when you go to bed. If you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please make sure they are fully functioning and are correctly set up. Read more here Crime prevention advice | West Midlands Police
