Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
Today your local Safer Neighbourhoods Team Officers were conducting patrols in the block of flats on Trinity Way and surrounding areas, as previous intelligence suggests that youths regularly deal and use drugs. Whilst on patrol and upon checking the usual hiding spots on each floor of the block, Officers found a significant amount of cannabis, empty snap bags, a couple of weighing scales as well as other items that suggests they are intended for distribution. Along with all this, a large knife was also found stashed away inside a dry riser box. Officers were also shocked to see this and these items have now been recovered safely. This was a great find by your local policing team and we will continue to ensure the safety of our community. We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years. | ||
