Appeal for witnesses following collision involving motorbike and van |

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Berkeley Heath earlier this month. The collision, which involved a motorbike and van, took place on the A38 at a junction with an unclassified road to Stinchcombe at around 6pm on Tuesday 16 December. It involved a white Vauxhall Vivaro panel van travelling from the Thornbury direction and a green Kawasaki 125cc motorcycle which was travelling from the direction of Cambridge. The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man from the Fairford area, suffered serious leg and arm injuries was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged. The driver of the van, a 34-year-old man from Wotton Under Edge, was not believed to be injured. Officers would like to hear from anyone who has not already been spoken to and who may have witnessed the collision or either vehicle prior to it. They are also appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage that they may feel might be relevant to come forward.
