As Christmas fast approaches Morrison Neighbourhood Policing Team is reminding the public to keep themselves and their properties safe.

South Wales Police often see an unfortunate increase in burglaries around Christmas time and as such it is important for the public to take steps to protect their homes, Below are some precautions you can take-

Lock Up Properly - Double- Check doors, windows, and sheds before going out or to bed.

Use Light Timers - set lamps to turn on in the evening so the house looks occupied.

Don't advertise absences - avoid posting travel plans or photos of gifts on social media until your home.

Hide Valuables - keep presents and expensive items out of sight from windows.

Ask a neighbour for help - have someone collect post, move bins, or keep an eye on your place if your away.
