Chapel and Chinley Local Priorities
Theft We have identified a rise in retail thefts in the local area and heard the concerns from retailers. This time of year we see a rise in burglaries and understand the impact this has on the whole community Action –
Parking Concerns have been raised recently about the parking in and around all our local schools and in certain residential areas. Action – We would encourage anyone who is wanting to report illegal parking to the councils Civil Parking Enforcement Team who are responsible for most parking offences like double yellow lines. Speeding Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents. Action -
Whaley Bridge local Priorities:
Burglaries and Theft of Motor vehicles Burglaries remains a high priority especially due to the effects it has on its victims and its community. We would ask the community to be extra vigilant and to report any suspicious activity at the time the incident occurs on either 999 or 101. Action -

Anti-Social Behaviour ASB has been identified as another issue effecting the community in Whaley Bridge. ASB ranges from nuisance neighbours, littering, illegal gatherings, anti social driving and drug use. Action – Please report any ASB through Derbyshire police website or via 101. In an emergency always use 999. You can also report Littering and parking issues to the council.
