Out on Patrol Winslow and Swanbourne

As part of our commitment to the community priorities to deal with speeding, The Winslow Neighbourhood Team, have been carrying out speed surveys in Newton Longville, Winslow and Swanbourne over the last two days. We will be attending other locations in the neighbourhood area soon.

Thankfully, most drivers were driving to the correct speed limit, however a number of drivers were stopped and spoken to about their speed in the locations.

Speed surveys help us identify if there is an issue with speeding in an area and are used to monitor the speed of vehicles in these areas. The information gathered is then reviewed, before speed enforcement is carried out. Drivers then caught exceeding the posted speed limit will then face either a fine and points on their licence or a speed awareness course.
