***END OF 6, SHARD END TEAM 16/12/25-21/12/25***
What been happening this week in Shard End.
Our team have visited the Shard End Wellbeing Centre where the community had gathered to have Christmas dinner, in order to engage with the community and key partners. There was singing and a raffle for everyone to play, with amazing gifts to choose from that were donated by our local community, whilst outside the event our anti-knife crime car was present. We have supported our Partnerships Officer Georgina Johnstone, who managed to organise donations of toys, these being then taken to the children’s homes and Heartlands hospital.
The team have also been doing patrols around the local parks and other open spaces, together with areas where there have been reports of anti social behaviour.
We are always looking for suspicious vehicles that have either been stolen, abandoned or don’t hold tax or insurance, and one of these has resulted in the seizure of a van for no valid road tax.
We have had four arrests during this set of six, for offences including theft, domestic related offences, harassment and failing to appear at Court.
