Weekly Round-Up from Bettws NPT

This week our officers and PCSOs from Bettws Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been conducting patrols and tackling issues highlighted by our communities. I wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update about what we have been doing in your area.

Following reports of drug activity in the area, our officers attended an address in Bettws. As a result:

✅ A large quantity of class B drugs was seized.

✅ A quantity of money was seized.

✅ Several mobile phones were seized.

✅ 1 offensive weapon was located and safely disposed of.

✅ Drug equipment and paraphernalia were seized.

The investigation is still on-going and enquiries are being conducted.

Also, whilst on patrols our PCSOs located a wanted person and our NPT officers were able to arrest him. This person has been arrested for 6 shoplifting offences, multiple breaches of a Community Protection Notice, breach of court order and criminal damage. He has since been charged and remanded for these offences.
