Local Priorities Mobile phone theft Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

There has been a recent spate of mobile phone snatch thefts around the Mile End area and along Mile End Road, E1, by individuals either on e-bikes or scooters. Most of the snatches have been from people who are just walking along the footpath/ pavement talking on their phones, then someone coming from behind them and grabbing the phone before speeding off again.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
