Dear Resident
Good Evening to you all from the Four Oaks and New Hall Neighbourhood Teams
On this set of shifts your neighbourhood teams have been busy in your community carrying out the following tasks
We have been carrying patrols in Mere Green, Walmley and Wylde Green retail areas deterring shoplifters.
Theft of motor vehicle There have been 3 reports of stolen vehicle in the past week, Slade Road, Plough and Harrow public house car park- A white Ford Transit was stolen by unknown means. Dower Road – A Black Alfa Romeo was stolen by reader; the vehicle has been traced and recovered. Asda Store, Minworth -A Silver Ford transit van was stolen by thieves popping the driver’s door.
If you do own a keyless entry vehicle, please make sure that your keys are kept in a faraday pouch (always remember to check your Faraday pouch is still working), when at home or out and about, this will stop thieves getting the signal for your vehicle. Using a steering wheel lock is also a visual deterrent.
Attempt Burglary Jordan Road – Thieves have tried to enter the address by smashing a window in the front door, they were unsuccessful and nothing was stolen, reassurance visit has been carried out and crime prevention advice given.
Burglary Aspen Close – Thieves have entered the property by snapping the lock, unfortunately two vehicles were stolen from the address. Reassurance visit has been carried out and crime prevention advice given. For more crime prevention advice go to www.westmidlands.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/
Please remember to lock all windows and doors, do not leave keys in your doors, especially if you have a cat/dog flap before heading out and make sure your home looks like someone is in.
Arrests A shoplifter has been arrested for 2 counts of shoplifting at Sainsburys Local, Mere Green.
Surgeries PCSO has attended the Four Oaks Baptist Church, St James Church and St Johns Church to carry out Police Surgeries giving crime prevention advice and talking to local residents about issues in the area.
Street Watch A Street Watch patrol was carried out in Wylde Green, speaking to local residents.
