After 20 years, she is hanging up her coordinator badge. A huge thank you to Jenny and Graham for their work for community - sharing crime prevention, being a focal point for activism and of course, organising legendary street parties.
Remember crime still happens over the holidays: Hide Presents & Valuables: Keep gifts out of sight from windows; don't leave them visible under the tree. Secure Doors & Windows: Lock them always, even if just popping out, and consider extra bolts for patio doors. Don't Advertise: Break down boxes for new electronics and hide them in bins or take them to the tip to avoid advertising expensive items. Create Occupancy: Use light timers, turn on radios/TVs, and ask a neighbour to collect post if you're away to make your home look lived-in.
