Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

After conducting patrols around Belvedere Train station and lower belvedere ASDA car park, two people were stopped and searched by your local safer neighbourhood team where a quantity of cannabis was found along with THC vapes. This resulted in one person receiving a penalty notice for disorder. We will also actively look to issue community protection warnings and ASB referrals for these individuals.

We are committed to reducing drug use and drug dealing in the area, but it is imperative that the public provide us with information to act on.
