Invitation to Join Your Local Ward Panel - Have Your Say |
||
|
Good afternoon,
The Metropolitan Police Service is refreshing the way Ward Panel Meetings are run, and we would like to invite members of the Plaistow community to be part of this change.
Ward Panels play a vital role in helping shape local policing priorities by ensuring the voices of residents, businesses, and community groups are heard. We are now seeking new community representatives who are willing to attend meetings and share local concerns, ideas, and feedback.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals representing the following areas:
Education: Members of school staff based in Plaistow who are interested in representing issues relating to student safeguarding, wellbeing, and safety.
Business Community: Local business owners or those involved in the business community who can represent the views of shopkeepers and businesses, highlighting issues that impact trading and livelihoods.
Neighbourhood Watch / Residents: Residents who are experiencing or aware of concerns such as anti-social behaviour, burglary, or parcel theft, and who are willing to represent their street, block, or wider neighbourhood.
Youth: Young people living or studying in Plaistow who are passionate about their community, interested in public service, or keen to raise issues affecting young people locally.
Ward Panel representatives are asked to attend quarterly meetings, where they will have the opportunity to work directly with local officers to influence policing priorities and contribute to improving safety and confidence within the community.
If you are interested in becoming a Ward Panel member or would like more information, please contact your local Ward Sergeant:
Email: ryan.fitt@met.police.uk
We welcome your involvement and look forward to working together to make Plaistow a safer and stronger community.
Kind regards, Metropolitan Police Service Plaistow Safer Neighbourhoods Team | ||
