Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses after an incident in which a man was stabbed in Bedford.
It happened between 11.15 and 11.30pm last night (Wednesday) in Bamford Road. The victim suffered serious injuries. Police were alerted after he went to Bedford Hospital for treatment, where he remains.
It is believed he had been approached while he was sitting in his car by three men in dark clothing, wearing balaclavas and wielding knives. They smashed the car window before attacking him. He managed to drive off.
PC Ellie Rogers, of Bedfordshire Police, said: “This was a vicious attack which has left a man with very serious injuries.
“It is important that we trace these attackers as quickly as possible and we are asking anyone with information or CCTV footage to get in touch.
“We believe they ran off towards Cardington Road, so if anyone saw anything, please get in touch.
