Speeding Operations - Thorne and Moorends

Over the couple of weeks we have conducted a number of speeding operations in and around Thorne and Moorends following concerns from residents who attend our regular community engagement meetings.

We take speeding concerns seriously and when time allows, focus on those areas alongside attending our regular hotspots.

On South End in Thorne 15 vehicles were monitored of which none of those were contravening the 20mph speed limit.

On Coulman Street in Thorne 63 vehicles were monitored, 2 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 30mph speed limit.

On Marshland Road in Moorends 53 vehicles were monitored, 4 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 30mph speed limit.

We will continue conducting regular speed checks in and around the East of Doncaster and ask that you continue to report your speeding concerns to us.
