UPDATE: Dawn raids conducted in and around Ilford Town Centre

Following a 6-month long investigation, Met Police teams joined forces to tackle violent and anti-social behaviour within llford town centre.

A number of warrants were carried out by officers on Thursday, 27 November resulting in the arrest of 9 people suspected of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.

As a result of the arrests and searches a quantity of Class A drugs, cash and phones were seized with 14 people now charged and remanded into custody with a number of drug supply offences (totalling 37 offences).

Working in collaboration with Redbridge Local Authority and council leaders this is part of an ongoing partnership approach to increase community safety and drive down crime, focusing on public health, and areas that are of highest concern to those who live, work and attend school in Ilford.

Eight men and six women are due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court in January 2026.
